DJI plays a vital role in qualifying and developing the national expertise of the UAE to practice their significant positions within the Judiciary and Public Prosecution, enhancing and spreading legal awareness within the community, and preparing a generation of judicial professionals qualified with the best executive training and updated knowledge, in order to empower the judicial and prosecution system with qualified human resources, following its mission to enable Dubai and the UAE as a regional center for legal and judicial excellence and achieve its eminent mission seeking to provide the judicial and prosecution system members with professional training and continuous development following its values: confidence, professionalism, and innovation. Through its owned publishing house as part of its judicial, legal, and scientific initiatives, DJI continues to play its vital role in Dubai in spreading judicial and legal knowledge as well as raise legal community awareness and include highly advanced technical services that applies artificial intelligence as a key pillar for professional excellence, which all leaders to a consolidated institutional role playing under an integral judicial system that’s well-prepared for the future and is highly ready for the future of justice.

DJI was established by Law No. (1) of 1996 issued by His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, and its amendments, as a public institution with a legal capacity and eligibility under the Higher Judicial Council of Dubai. DJI was established to support the judicial and prosecution system and institutions in the United Arab Emirates with qualified and well-trained human resources.

DJI plays an essential role in developing and qualifying UAE national cadres to practice their vital role in the judiciary and public prosecution systems through practical and academic training that’s being designed according to the requirements of training planning, course needs and implementation objectives and over a minimum period of 8 months for graduates to be qualified to practice in the judicial positions. DJI provides much more services through custom-designed continuous training programs as mandated by Dubai laws to continuous to raise capacities of national human resources within judicial and legal system authorities and empower them with required legal skills and knowledge, and enable them to practice their role at the best quality and efficiency through well-designed training programs, technical workshops. DJI plays also an essential role in supporting the community members and residents of Dubai through custom-designed awareness raising programs that empower them with needful knowledge to protect them against any non-intentional legal risks. The establishment law of DJI has also mandated to DJI a set of essential objectives that’s focused on developing and enhancing scientific research within the community through its activities in publishing researches and studies in all different legal and judicial fields. Also, DJI publishing activities features a multi-subject series of publication that covers all different legal subjects, and includes as well a series of UAE laws and legislations book series to keep the legal community updated with the UAE changes in laws and legislations. DJI makes all its publications available through its online book store as well as the participation in all book fairs organized in the UAE. The Knowledge Management and Publishing Department is actively publishing legal magazines that addresses the mass community of Dubai needs of information and knowledge and features simplified legal informative contents, and addresses the needs of the academic and professional legal community through its scientific journal authored by a group of the best senior judges, law professors and legal researchers from the Arab region and worldwide.
